Uganda Passes anti-gay bill with harsh penalties

Recently, Uganda's parliament passed a new bill that includes some of the harshest penalties for homosexual activities in Africa. Homosexual acts were already illegal in the country, but this new bill introduces many new criminal offenses, including making merely identifying as gay illegal for the first time.
